Today, after dieting and working out for almost 3 months, I sit down on my chair to finish off some work. It broke. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I had a great workout and was feeling really good about my body. Until I sat on my desk, and broke it. FML
Desks are so judgmental these days!
Today, I was promptly told to lose weight today by my computer desk when it broke under the weight of my leg. FML
Today, while at a family gathering, I sat down in a chair and it broke. Embarrassed, I picked myself up and sat down in another chair. That one broke too. I'm now the "fat girl" of the family despite weighing 90 pounds. FML
Today, I got a new chair at work. After spending three hours putting it together, I was called into my boss's office and let go. FML
Today, I was sitting at the computer browsing various websites. In my attempt to scoot the chair forward, I hit my knee against the desk that my computer was on, and ended up breaking it. I literally broke my knee sitting on my ass. FML
Fit as a fiddle
Today, I went to sit on a desk chair, which promptly rolled out from under me. This made me fall on my own foot, literally shattering two bones. I just bought a 9-month gym membership and can't use it because I wanted to sit down. FML
Heavy
Today, my chair abruptly fell apart completely while I was sitting on it. I didn't even do anything. Have I really gained that much weight? FML
Today, I was arguing with a friend over whether or not I'm fat. She kept telling me that I was. Angry, I sat down on the chair beside her. It broke. FML
Today, I fell off my desk chair. Why? I failed to notice that the screws I'd been finding on the floor around my room for the past few months belonged to said chair. FML
Red tape
Today, after 4 years of nicely asking, I wrote an official memo to our logistics department, asking for new chairs for my subordinates. The logistics people came and concluded that there are more broken chairs than good ones, but suggested that perhaps we should all go on a diet. FML

I like how you make the work out part seem important. I highly doubt it broke cause you were too big

The way this FML is worded makes it seem as if OP hasn't sat down for 3 months..

or how much muscles you have?

Agreed. Keep up the good work. If you're large enough to think you broke a chair by sitting on it, the chair probably was stressed from all the other times you had sat on it. One thing to remember, though, is that muscle weighs more than fat, and muscle uses up calories at a faster rate, even when resting. So even if it happened because of your current weight, don't give up the working out. (And I hope by "dieting" you mean that you're getting at least 60 grams of protein a day, eating regular, smaller meals, throughout the day - like 5 to 6 of them - and are drinking plenty of water.)

#4 is right - muscle weighs 3x more than fat.

nicely put #4... i agree completely, except for the protein part... not every person should have 60g of protein a day, it all depends on what they're current weight is and their intensity etc. etc. to much protein in the system will just get flushed out but keep up the work i'm sure you're doing amazing, and remember muscle does weigh more than fat

Listen to #4, people, he knows what he's saying.

WTF? Most of what you said is accurate. But muscle does NOT weigh more than fat. One pound of muscle weighs exactly the same as a pound of fat. One pound of gold weighs the same as one pound of marshmallows. Regardless, if you had not been dieting and exercising for the past three months, that chair would probably have broke 2.5 months ago.

Wow. You're dumb 63 Muscle does weigh more than fat, as in one cubic inch of muscle weighs more than one cubic inch of fat. About three times as much. Ofcourse one POUND of gold weighs the same as one POUND of marshmallows. Pound is the unit of measurement for weight. but a cup of marshmellows would weigh way less than a cup of gold.

#63 please go back to elimentary school and learn the difference between measurement and mass. You can measure out a pound of muscle and a pound of fat, but muscle has more MASS than fat, therefore if you take the same amount of fat as mucle, muscle will weigh more.... WOW

Chairs break. You don't have to be fat if there's something wrong with the it in the first place. Keep up the good work.

Muscle is heavier than fat! No worries!
FarSide 23
Another misguided soul. No, they weigh the same. Muscle is more dense than fat, but one pound of anything weighs exactly one pound of something else. You're educated in the U.S. aren't you??
hecuva 0
wow, can you please re-read your comment and realize that you just contradicted yourself, muscle has more mass than fat, therefore the if you were to take a portion of fat and the same amount of muslce, the muscle will weigh more... you just told them that muscle weighs the same but is more dense... IT"S MORE DENSE, therefore will weigh more

Lol, the chair thing happened to me, except I weigh 130lb. So don't feel bad about that, it was probably either an old chair or a poorly made one.

LOLLL. everyone is right, muscle IS heavier than fat. im sorry to be laughing. i just laugh when people fall off chairs & fall over & stuff. im sorry.
FarSide 23
No, everyone who says muscle weighs more than fat is wrong. Good grief people, do you just believe everything you hear?
peace7love2FML 0
Your wrong dudee^^^ listen one pound of fat and one pound of muscle, yes, does weight the same. BUT one CUP of muscle and one CUP of fat weigh different! and if you don't believe me, or anybody else, why don't you go and experiment it? think before you comment!
