Today, a guy from work that I barely know gave me sunflowers for my birthday. He told me, "You mentioned they were your favorite." I mentioned it to my family at home a few days ago. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Pulled a sneaky on you
Today, I found out that my work threw me a birthday party alongside my coworker’s birthday. Said coworker spread a rumor, telling everyone that I wanted each person to buy me flowers and cake. Everyone thought that I was a weirdo for asking for those things from them. I wasn't at work today. FML
Today, I went into work and noticed one of my fellow colleagues had a large bunch of flowers on her desk. As soon as I saw her, I immediately said, "Happy Birthday!" Everyone went quiet. It wasn't her birthday; her father had died. FML
Today, I ordered flowers to be delivered to my workplace on Tuesday. To myself. For my birthday. Because even though birthdays are posted in the monthly newsletter, mine gets left out every year. For the past four years. FML
Thanks, I guess
Today, my kids and husband brought me a bunch of ornamental cabbages for my birthday, rather than flowers. Why? Because, "you're more of a cabbage sort of person." Ah well, guess it's an improvement on last year when they forgot entirely. FML
Live, laugh, love no one
Today, I got flowers from a secret admirer. Turns out they were from my sister's in-laws who own a flower shop. Apparently, everyone feels bad that I'm single and they are convinced I'm gonna die alone. FML
Today, I arranged to have some flowers delivered at work for Valentine's Day so that my colleagues will think someone likes me. FML
Today, a guy left flowers on my doorstep. I got home to find my dad claiming he bought them for my mum. I told my parents they were mine, they laughed in my face. FML
Today, I bought some flowers. As I was checking out, the cashier asked, "Aww, these for your mom? How sweet." I responded they were for a girl I liked. She laughed and said, "Sorry…" FML
Good one
Today, on the way out to buy groceries, my boyfriend asked if I'd like him to buy some of my favourite flowers. Happy with his rare show of affection, I said yes. When he returned, he gave me a bag of our usual brand of flour and laughed hysterically in my face. FML
About that raise…
Today, I finally got the courage to ask my boss why the flowers I got her for her birthday the other day were in the conference room and not her office. She told me she was allergic to them and she had such a bad reaction that it made her go home early. I made my boss sick on her birthday. FML

My co workers & I talk about a lot of things. When you work with someone for a long time you get to know a lot about them. Maybe the guy have really good memory or op is just forgetful. Just take the dang flower & be thankful. Apparent when a guy do nice things for girls these days he either a creep or thirsty. Can he just be a nice guy?!

Why has a nice gesture like this got to be so quickly labelled as creepy? Clearly he likes you, and when you like someone you pay more attention to what they say. You said you hardly know him, so it sounds like he wants that to change but instead of getting the hint you think he is creepy because you happened to mention this fact of sunflowers to your family a few days ago? Does it sound very logical that he broke in to your families house, set up hidden microphones and camped outside listening and waiting for you to mention your favourite gift so he could surprise you lol? Too much TV.. You probably made mention of it at work a couple months ago and he just remembered.. as you do when you have feelings for someone. He might just be a little shy to come straight out.. If he pays that much attention to you then he might be a pretty decent bloke! Not everyone that cares and puts effort in to things is a psychopath lol.

It's not the gift that's creepy. Assuming she never mentioned it at work than it is a bit creepy that he knew that. Im a guy btw

What's a more likely assumption, that she never mentioned it and he must of done something creepy like break in to her families house and install microphones, or that she just doesn't remember mentioning it at work? Since she doesn't seem to have current feelings for him but he seems to like her, I think the fact that he remembers while she doesnt isn't that far of a stretch. I know if I had a crush on a girl I would remember what she tells me about the stuff she likes for that exact purpose.

AND...how did he know, in advance, what day your birthday was, so he could bring that specific gift to work? He is flattering you to break the ice, hoping to get to know you better. He is an admirer, not a creep or stalker. Get a grip!

Maybe you said it out loud at work and forgot you said it?

You probably mentioned it before. Don't pretend like you have a perfect memory. Or don't exaggerate to post an FML.

seems like you should move far away, not like your getting any younger and if he's attracted to you now it just gets better with time...next year it will be a chia-sunflower pet....how terrific. he seems quite attentive and adorable...He listens! from every shadow.....
