Today, a customer called the restaurant I work at to ask if our coupons were always valid, or if they expired on the expiration date printed on them. FML

Actually totally valid. Loads of places accept coupons after their expiration date.

Stupidity at its finest.

Could've asked her to rephrase maybe?

It's pretty clear what she's asking. Rephrasing wouldn't affect anything.

Nope, the expiration date is printed on them in order to make customers like you call and keep OP busy at work -_-

It's like extreme couponing for the stupid

I'd be like "no sir, they expire the day before".

I have two $25 restaurant coupons in front of me that a manager gave me last week. The expire on the 30th of this month. She flat out told me not to worry that they'd honor it for at least a year after the posted date.

the expiration-dates on our coupons are just for people using them faster.

some peope just need the finger in the face
