Today, I was at my only sister's wedding. She gave a speech about the person who means the most to her. She said, "She's my favorite sister, who has always been there for me." Being her only sister, I got up to hug her. Turns out she was talking about her slutty sorority sister. FML

Today, my sister is working on her graduation speech. She gives her thanks to one friend for helping support her through school, like, "The sister I never had". FML
Today, my sister backed out of my wedding because it was becoming too much about me. After I begged her to reconsider, I had no choice but to pick a new bridesmaid. When my new bridesmaid posted on Facebook how excited she was, my sister commented, "See, you made HER feel special." FML
Today, I was at my sister's wedding reception. My boyfriend of three years decided to give a toast to the happy couple. He was drunk and confessed his undying love to my sister. FML
Today, my sister got married. For the second time. She's 30. Two men have loved her enough to cry over their vows to her. Every single person there asked me why I wasn't married yet. FML
Today, my brother had his fiancée over to meet the whole family. We were having a great time with her, and my mother gushed to her that she was like the daughter she never had. I'm her daughter. FML
Today, I met my sister's fiancé. I would have been happier for her if he hadn't been mine a month ago when I introduced them. FML
Today, I got married. After the ceremony, my sister asked to talk to me. I followed her and she told me that we are no longer related because we don't have the same last name anymore. FML
Today, I was hanging with my lesbian friend, who I am secretly in love with. I bought her flowers, took her out to eat, and we held hands all through dinner. We met up with our friends later and she told them what we did, then said, "Isn't she the best friend ever? I'm so glad I have an honorary sister like her." FML
Today, my sister looked prettier in her bridesmaid's dress than I did in my wedding dress. I love her to bits, but she won the genetic lottery out of the two of us, so even on my wedding day I feel inferior. FML
Today, while looking through the newspaper, I saw that my sister got married a couple weeks ago. Not only did she not invite me, she "forgot" to mention it yesterday while we were having lunch. FML

FMLs like this always confuse me. If you and your sister are that close, then she would thank you. And by the same token, as you are sisters, shouldnt you know that you arent that close? And that she feels super close to her sorority sisters? I just find it amazing that this sort of thing "shocks" you.

Me and my sister weren't very close at the time of her wedding and she asked me to be her maid of honor. . At the time I thought it meant she really did feel close to me if she asked me. Turns out I was wrong. I would have done the same thing at the OP's situation. I would have thought she meant me. Turns out she asked me because it was the 'proper' thing to do.

It was the slutty sorority sister that taught your sister the weird, wild and wonderful sex techniques by which she literally and figuratively sucked some poor bastard into the dungeon that is marriage. Well, listen, and listen carefully. You might have noticed that every FML begins with 'Today..'. Obviously they didn't all happen TODAY, not only because it may take some time for the FML being published, but also because you have to start an FML with 'Today..' and if you would take that literally we would miss out on numerous FML's. Her sister isn't a bitch! Who says just because you have the same mother, you HAVE to be close? Many siblings I know aren't that close, and they're okay with that. Also, who says slutty people can't be reliable and always there for a person? My friend is sleeps around with a lot of guys, but she's always there for me when I need her. Just because the OP isn't close with her sister doesn't automatically mean the OP's sister is a bitch. Maybe the OP thinks she's close with her sister, but her sister doesn't think so.
