Rush hour

Today, whilst heading out the door to go to work, my lanyard got caught on the doorknob inside, and I watched my keys swing back inside as the door closed behind me. It was locked. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.

There's these US_$40 combination-button "door-key safes" (aka "lock boxes") that real estate agents lock around door-knobs that allow one to access a house key (or anything else) within it for showing houses without having to keep a separate, large, loaded-up key-ring. I keep spare apt, garage, & car door keys in mine.

Something you wear around your neck got caught on your doorknob? Either the strap is way too big, or you're really, really short.

I have a lanyard on my keys and I don’t wear it around my neck. I prefer to hold that instead of the metal keys.

I have a lanyard that I loop around my belt loop and put in my pocket. the worst that happens is the strap gets caught and I have to unlock the door to leave. They could have had it in their hand and or swung back. I've gotten pockets caught on doorknobs before many times too, so that's not a stretch.

Always lock your door from the outside. I've learned that the hard way.
