Probably for the best
Today, I bought some new LED underglow lights for underneath my car. I was putting them on when my dad came out, insisted on taking over, and then proceeded to break them. FML

Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my father went out to get batteries for the remote control helicopter I bought him for Christmas. In his excitement, he backed his truck into my car. FML
Today, I came home to find my dad had backed into my already crappy car. The reason they didn't buy me a nicer car in the first place was they were afraid I'd wreck it. FML
Today, I left my lights on in my car, which I only realized at lunchtime, so I made sure to turn the lights off, and tried to start it. The battery was dead, so I called my dad to jump start it before I got back from my game. I later came back from the game and the lights were on. He'd left the lights on after jump starting it. FML
Today, my dad was looking for something in the garage and accidentally knocked over a heavy box, which crushed the new side view mirror I'd bought for my car, because the one my car originally had, he smashed it against a pole while driving my car recently. FML
Today, my dad sent me back and forth repeatedly to the auto parts store for a replacement headlight bulb. He kept insisting that what I brought back was the wrong bulb. I had to drag him there to show I was getting the right one by asking the clerk. He's wrong, but is mad at me for embarrassing him in front of the staff. FML
Today, I tried to hang up a light and, in my clumsiness, got shocked. My dad started screaming at me for yelling out. FML
Today, my car broke down. My dad insisted he could fix it, but screwed up in the process. After finally getting the car towed to a mechanic, I was told that I'd only needed a new water pump, but thanks to the damage my dad did, fixing it all will cost me a small fortune. FML
Today, I drove to my cousin's house so he could help me fix my broken tail light. On the way there, I got pulled over for having a broken tail light. FML
Today, I accidentally crashed my mom's car into my dad's car. FML
Today, was my 16th birthday and I was supposed to be surprised with a new car. I have overheard my parents talking about bringing it home tonight while I was at a friend's house. We snuck back to my house to see them bring my car home. All I saw was my Dad crash my new car into a street lamp. FML

You deserved it for buying something so stupid. It isn’t 1996. Calm down. It was douche y then.

and let me guess... you drive a shit box 90's Honda Civic, you can fit your whole head in the tail pipe, and you think you're so cool, and you wonder why you can't get laid right?

Sounds like your dad is a dim bulb.

Could you ask him to replace them since he broke them?
zuckerburg 21
He could, but just like any other whiny snowflake out there, he wanted to share his experience here instead, you know, for some moral support about how unfair life is

If you think everyone who posts is a snowflake who does nothing but come here to complain, then why are you here?

To complain about people complaining

I'm on the fence as to whether he broke them on accident, or on purpose. It could be either.

YDI for being a tool. Props to the dad for stopping you (or trying to at least) from being one.

I bet your dad granny shifts instead of double clutching like he should too. Such a buster.

I’m in the process of doing the same to my SUV. It’s white LEDs so people can see when climbing in and so my dogs can see when jumping out at night. If you are doing just for ground effect cool. Not my cup of tea but I generally don’t judge other people’s aesthetic preferences. As far as your dad, yeah he’s a ******* dick like mine. That would be exactly something that **** sucker that got my mom pregnant would do. Then blame me for it not working. Same **** sucker that turned a ******* masters degree in engineering and 10 years of medical device experience to total shit. He’s the type of ******* prick that knows everything takes credit for other people success and blames anyone but himself for his failure. So yeah I feel you. But you might be able to salvage this depending on what he broke. P.S. For those that want to start with the he’s you Dad or you should move out. I moved out at 18 as he made my life an utter living hell. The fact that I left pissed him off enough to buy company stock then demand a tour with me involved. I was the equivalent of skunk works team for my company. Bye bye career. So no I don’t owe him ****.

...your dad bought controlling stock in the company you worked for just to get back at you? Wow that has to be a petty dumbass of the year award or something.

That's when you insist on doing it yourself and then insist he replaces them. And then you send the replacements back because those lights make you look stupid as hell.
