Today, when my new boyfriend told me he liked playing games, he meant a 60" TV with a professional gaming chair in the middle of his living room, and 48-hour gaming marathons where he totally ignores me, refuses to sleep or shower, and only has energy drinks and cheerios. FML

Which mean you have 48 hours to do whatever the hell it is you want without having to drag the boyfriend along. Space. I see no problem here.

Get a side piece for when he ignores you. There are all kinds of games you can play then.

On the bright side, he is your new boyfriend so pushing him to the kerb is not going to be too difficult emotionally.

I knew someone who’s ex was like that. He stayed in the basement playing games online and neglected his wife and kids. I figured he must have depression issues to act like such an idiot. It was just another high or escape.

I dont understand the point of mentioning the TV. 60 inches isn5 outrageous anymore.

Sorry to hear you’re unhappy. If this isn’t your thing and you feel it will greatly affect your relationship, then maybe have a discussion and move on.

Must I say, “I hope you mean EX-boyfriend?” Ugh, if she’s so dissatisfied and is too dumb to leave, am I wasting my breath?

My boyfriend used to game that much, but now I just stay in the same room as him while he plays and we're both happy and able to do our own thing. I'm sure you could also bring some snacks and you guys would both appreciate it.

I was with him until you said 48-hour marathons.

1. Is he unemployed? 2. Is he poopsocking? 3. Does he yell racist/sexist/homophobic things while gaming? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, run.

Yeah that boy has no need for a relationship. I get gaming, but 48 hours of no talking, no showering, no sleeping (plus the mood swings) could be a deal breaker even for a fellow gamer. So I'd say the new boyfriend will be the ex-boyfriend pretty quickly (if you just leave three hours into his gaming marathon, he probably won't even notice).
