Today, my car got broken into. A small folded plastic bag and a few toothpicks I got from a restaurant were stolen. It's going to cost me a few hundred bucks to fix and clean my car over a 10 cent bag and a few free toothpicks. FML

Today, I went to my car to get a few things, when I discovered it had been broken into. Nothing of value was taken. My window was busted in just for a pack of cigarettes, a lighter, and my car's ashtray. FML
Today my car was broken into. The only thing taken were condoms and lighters I had in the glove box. FML
Today, my car door and window were broken when a thief broke into my car. Cost to repair the damage? $600. Increase to my car insurance premiums? $40 a month. What'd they steal from my car? A $0.98 chocolate chip cookie. FML
Today, someone caused over $400 worth of damage by breaking into my car, just to steal $8 worth of beer. FML

Today, when I was finished eating at McDonald's, I went to Shoppers to pick up a new toothbrush. I got back to my car only to find the windows smashed in. The only thing that was missing from my car was the Hello Kitty toy I got from McDonald's. Someone broke into my car for a 10 cent toy. FML
Today, I got my car back from the repair shop. After paying $400 for them to fix the scratches on the driver's side door, some one decided to key both sides of my car while I was on my lunch break from work. FML

Today, I was playfully walking back to my car with my girlfriend. My door was unlocked. I then noticed my car had stuff scattered inside. A bum had just robbed and ransacked my car. FML
Today, some dumbass broke one of my car's windows to steal the pack of disinfecting wipes I just bought a few hours ago. FML

They probably thought it was your weed in the plastic bag. And if they had beef jerky stuck between their teeth, they may have been desperate enough to break into your car to get a toothpick. Lesson for today, kids: Don't eat beef jerky unless you have easy access to floss and a Water-pik!

I've had something similar happen. Some kids broke into my car, tried to steal the stereo before they realized it was faceless, dug through my cds and decided they didn't like them, and then left without taking anything.

Would you rather them have stolen something more expensive and then still have to pay to fix your car? I'd say you're pretty lucky that they only stole a bag and some toothpicks.

If you leave a bag or box visible in your car, it MAY contain something valuable. That's why they break in. My friend had a bag full of dirty underwear stolen once. They smash and grab. Don't leave things visible in your car.

I had my car broken into for the change in my center console. They even took the time to leave the pennies though so they weren't too broke. Cost me $200 to fix the window and I was short quarters trying to do laundry.

Someone broke into my car once and only stole the knobs off my radio. My buddy also had his car broken into and they only took the plastic cover for his overhead light.
