Today, I got my car back from the repair shop. After paying $400 for them to fix the scratches on the driver's side door, some one decided to key both sides of my car while I was on my lunch break from work. FML

Today, after getting my car completely fixed after it being damaged for a year, I was driving and the entire side panel on the car fell off. The repair man forgot to put the screws back in. FML
Today, my car was stolen. They found it and I wish they never had. Full coverage would have paid the car, but instead the repairs cost $1700. My deductible was $2000. It ended up costing me $2000. The people who fixed my ignition broke my remote start. I have to fight to get them to pay for that repair. FML
Today, I paid $2300 to a mechanic for fixing my car. It's also the day I got into an accident and totalled said car. FML
Today, I finally got enough money to buy the car I wanted for a year now. It was stolen today too. I had my car for 4 hours. FML
Today, I woke up to find the entire driver's side of my car wrecked. Front door, back door, front and rear bumper smashed to shit. A drunk driver had hit it the previous night and ran. Don't worry though, he stopped and left his insurance information. He keyed it into the undamaged side of my car. FML
Today, I accidentally hit someone's car while in the supermarket car park. I left a note, went shopping, and when I came back my windows were shattered, my tires were slashed, and "FUCK YOU" was written on my windshield. FML
Today, my car got broken into. A small folded plastic bag and a few toothpicks I got from a restaurant were stolen. It's going to cost me a few hundred bucks to fix and clean my car over a 10 cent bag and a few free toothpicks. FML
Today, I parked my car to go inside to grab my wallet than I'd forgotten. In the short time it took me to do that, someone broke two of my car's windows. FML
Today, my car was broken in for a second time in a month and a half, and for the second time it's now Inoperable. I only got it returned from repairs two days ago. FML
Today, someone caused over $400 worth of damage by breaking into my car, just to steal $8 worth of beer. FML

This, seriously. $400 for something that's merely aesthetic? Superficial freak. You're just as bad as the people who would spend that much on a single pair of ridiculously uncomfortable shoes. Cars get scratches. Learn to ******* live with it or start taking public transport. (Word to the unwise: trying to fix all the scratches on the subway will get you funny looks at best and arrested at worst.)

Besides the fact that it's her money and her car and she can do whatever she wants to them, scratches that go down to bare metal allow rust to form after a while which is more than a superficial thing. Besides why would you spend 35k on a car and not care about damage to it.

Scratches bother me immensely, I know theres a small one under the fin of my car, and although you cant see it without opening the trunk, it still bothers me. I did not spend that thousands of dolars on a car to not care if it gets scratched. Honestly, if somebody keyed my car I would cry, and Im not the type of person that cries.
