Keep it to yourself
Today, in a store, an obnoxious woman, swearing loudly and slapping at her out-of-control kids, was disrupting the whole place. I said to the cashier, "That nasty woman should leave the brats at home." She gave me a filthy look and said, "Do you mind? That's my sister." FML

If I were sister, I'd care that she called the women nasty, but in this situation where the women is actually slapping her kids in public, I'd agree with the cashier!

I would have said "then tell your sister to shut up or leave" horrible parenting skills. You dont do that crap especially in public. Kudos to you for saying something

I would have said the same thing. Peoples children who can't be quiet are the reason why other places like restaurants don't allow children under a certain age because they are so annoying.

It's your own fault for saying something rude without thinking. Though I admit there was no way you could have known, there's still the common concept of being careful with your words. If it'd been me, I'd have worded it more politely, for example, "That woman really should leave her kids at home if she can't get them to behave. She's lucky someone isn't calling child services on her for hitting her kids like that." In other words, be more careful nexttime, OP.

you deserve it but you also deserve a pat on the back. lol. I probably would have told her to wrangle her redneck sister before I called the cops.
