I don't wanna, I don't think so
Today, I had to fire an employee for the first time in my life. She broke something that keeps breaking on its own, but she didn't report it. HR made me fire her. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, at work, I helped out an employee who was having trouble. I even bought her a bottle of water. After the production manager decided to fire her on the spot, she went out in the parking lot and broke into several cars, including mine. FML
Today, I had to fire an employee because she constantly calls in, or is late to work. She became very emotional and I felt kind of bad, so I walked her out myself. We then got stuck in the company elevator. FML
Today, my co-worker threw a rubber mallet at my face, and I broke my finger in the process of saving my face. She then told me to "take it up with HR, bitch". She's the HR manager. FML
Today, I told my supervisor how awful my coworker was at her job. I then got fired. FML
Today, one of my employees was fired for refusing to do a basic job necessity. After the meeting with HR, he left the office and tried to go back to work. FML
Today, I tried to fire the worst worker I've ever had over the phone because he never shows up for work anymore. He said no and went crazy. HR and the police are now involved. FML
Today, on my first day of work, I got fired after 45 minutes. FML
Today, my boss called me into her office to tell me I needed to mind my own business and not question everything my newest co-worker does. Yesterday, I stopped the new girl from giving $6,000 to the wrong person. I was fired on the spot. The new girl was promoted into my job. FML
Today, I was enjoying my first vacation day in 2 years. My boss then called me to come in, saying it was an emergency. I got to work and got fired. Yes, my boss made me come in just to fire me. FML
Today, my boss fired me by locking me out of my workplace after I went out to throw out the trash. FML

This sounds like a riddle. What breaks on its own? 1. Wind 2. Waves 3. Bad Is one of these right?

Letting an employee go-- or even just telling them that they're severely underperforming and putting them on a performance plan-- is some of the worst emotional pain I've felt in my life. I care about the people who report to me way more as *people* than I do as employees. It's so rough. I can say that 2 out of the 4 times I've needed to do it, the person wound up in a better place-- one was dealing with mental health issues, and the other was an alcoholic. I've heard from both of them after time passed, and both were in better life situations. The other two just plain sucked, though. And I can't even imagine needing to fire someone for some B.S. reason just because HR said so. I'm sure this must have been very hard for you, and I hope you don't spend much time feeling guilty about it.
