Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my fiancée bought me a luxury getaway to the Maldives, complete with a five-star hotel and first-class plane tickets. Too bad she used my credit card, with all the money I was saving for our wedding. FML
Today, my girlfriend told me that she had to go to New Hampshire for a few days for her grandma's funeral. Later I found out she spent over $1,000 dollars (on our joint account) to take a vacation with the man she was cheating on me with. FML
Today, to surprise my boss who promoted me within the first two months of my new job, I offered to take him and a couple of coworkers out to eat. We had one minor inconvenience: my bank card declined. I was 200$ in the negative. Apparently my wife decided to take the kids winter clothes shopping. It’s fucking April. FML
Today, it's my birthday. My wife took me to my favorite restaurant for dinner. She made me pay for my birthday dinner, along with hers. She also got me a gift card to HER favorite store. FML
Today, my wife got back from a "homesick" trip to NY State. She brought her boyfriend back with her. FML
Today, after a very long day, I needed a hotel room but the only one available was a honeymoon suite. I was so tired, I just said yes. My wife just called demanding to know why I was charging a romantic room to our joint credit card, and if I’ve got a woman with me. I just want to go to sleep. FML
Today, I found some charges on my credit card for two round trip tickets to Las Vegas. Turns out my daughter and her unemployed stoner boyfriend stole my credit card and flew to Vegas over the weekend to get married. I paid for my daughter's elopement. FML
Today, I generously paid for my best friend to go to an event she's wanted to see her whole life. Instead of thanking me, she brought her children and made me pay for them too, complained that I hadn't chosen the seats she wanted, then blamed me when she got on the wrong train back to her hotel. FML
Today, after waking up with the worst hangover in years, I got a bank notification that my credit card was maxed out. Apparently, I bought a $1500 plane ticket for my ex-girlfriend to come over this weekend. She’s in South America. FML
Today, I had to watch my husband and kids go off on our trip to Hawaii without me because I forgot my wallet at home and couldn't afford to take a later flight. FML

what an inconsiderate bitch. YDI for giving her access to your credit card.

YDI - for being rich enough to have at least a $7k credit card limit.

I don't understand all these people say that the money is hers also. The OP stated that the credit card was his... Just because you're married doesn't mean that every penny gets shared with the wife automatically.

You have many kinds of marriage with differents patrimonies. His, Hers and Theirs. Usually, the "automatic" marriage, it that what was yours before marriage stays yours, what was hers stays hers, and what you buy or earn while married goes to "both" (gets split up by half when divorced). You can choose to make everything "theirs" (everything his and hers before marriage transfers and becomes "theirs"), or keep always separate (listed what is hers and what is his, as long as both spend, according to their respective income, a certain amount for the household and kids)

How the hell did she get your card anyway? That's just not being responsible and she's a bitch for racking up such a large bill...talk to a lawyer now and I hope you have the income to pay off that bill...credit card debt is a terrible thing. Make her pay the money back or wave divorce papers in her face.

You got a CC w/ > $7,000 limit and we're suppose to feel sorry for you?!? Oh ya, it's $7000, not 7000$. Ya got some options; Spend $8,000 on booze and ****** while you have the house to yourself. Take all your buddies on an all expenses paid golf outing (or whatever you're into). Redecorate the house, the way YOU want it. Hock her jewerly to pay off the CC bill. Put a good lawyer on retainer and change all the locks.
