Today, I started my new job at a restaurant. I'm going to be the mascot that stands by the road to wave down customers in a heavy polyester animal suit. The high today is 102. I work 12-4. FML

Get a real job! I could quit my job today and go start working for 22.50 and hour tomorrow. I don't know why everyone is saying at least you have a job. There's tons of work up here

I wasn't aware every person in the world lives in Alberta, Canada. Kinda negates the whole "world" aspect. I also wasn't aware everyone in the world (Alberta, Canada that is) has your qualifications and could get the same jobs you could.

That's the funny part. The only qualifications I have is a high school diploma. It's not hard to find a good job

Diplomas aren't the only things that can net you jobs, and regardless, having a high school diploma these days already puts you up higher than the many, many people who don't even have that. Again, why do you assume that just because there's work in your area, that means squat about any other area? I'm not calling you stupid, but what you said was.

Ya but from the majority of the "at least you have a job" comments people are making it sound like there isn't any work anywhere these days. I'm saying there is. Also is there really a lot of people that didn't finish high school? That just seems lazy to me

If your fat, stick with it. I did the same thing as a summer job when I was in school, lost 40 pounds in 10 weeks. If not, fyl.
