Today, while showering at my boyfriend's house early this morning, I saw a huge black spider on the wall. I'm allergic to spiders, so in my disorientation I ran out of the shower screaming, slipped, sprained my wrist, and bruised my tailbone. Turns out the spider was a clump of hair. My hair. FML

A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I was quietly having a bath when I felt something fall onto my shoulder blade. I glanced over my shoulder and saw what I thought were huge black spider legs. I screamed, completely hysterical, and I threw myself violently against a wall. It was my hair. FML
Today, I saw a big, black spider on the floor of my bathroom. I promptly jumped up on the toilet seat, slipped off, and slammed my head against the wall. The best part? It was a tuft of my hair. FML
Today, while taking a shower, a spider fell from the ceiling onto my foot. I took down my shower head to wash it down the drain, and in the process, got soap in my eye and rammed my head into the wall. FML
Today, while hiking, I walked face first into a spider web. Freaking out, I shook my hair out in case there was a spider. Later on in the day the spider fell from my hair into my food. FML
Today, I saw a spider crawling on the floor but had nothing to kill it with and it hid somewhere. So, I got dressed and went out and come home for a shower, and as I'm taking off my undies, something crushed and black fell out. It was the spider and he had been in my underwear the entire day. FML
Today, I was taking a shower when I noticed the huge spider above my head. Now, being the smart person I am, I sprayed the water up at it, causing it to fall. Right on my face. FML
Today, I found a big spider on my wall. I have arachnophobia, and I was trying to kill it with my shoe. I pulled back and hit myself in the face, causing me to fall backwards. The spider is still alive somewhere in my house. FML
Today, I was relaxing in bed with an arm kind of behind my head, when I noticed a huge spider resting on my armpit. My sister said my screaming sounded like a "witch being burned to death" for all of 5 seconds before I realized the "spider" was just my armpit hair. FML
Today, with water in my eyes, I stepped out of the shower and rubbed my face with a towel. When I looked in the mirror, I realized there had been a giant spider on the towel. Its guts and legs were smeared all over my face. FML
Today, a spider crawled across my arm. After a quick dance in a fit of panic, I managed to scramble onto my bed. I thought I would stand up to see if I could spot the spider and maybe kill it. I was then promptly knocked unconscious by my ceiling fan. FML

Actually, you can be. I'm allergic to just about any type of insect/bug bite/sting. Spiders/mosquitoes/bees, etc. I'll swell up about 2-3x more than a "normal" person would, and the swelling will last for up to two weeks. First time I was bit by a horse fly, I was taken to a hospital.

That's way too broad to actually have a valid allergy to. Just say you have arachnophobia. Because there is no way you can have an allergy to the more than 10,000 species of spiders on the planet. You'd be dead by now.

Um. I'm pretty sure no one can really be allergic to spiders. I mean when you get bit by ANYTHING, even a mosquito, you get a red mark and sometimes a rash. Is that an allergic reaction too? If it were because of that then hell, I'm allergic to every bug in the world!!!!! She's clearly scared shitless of spiders. If she said that then it would be more understandable. Other than that FYL for falling and breaking yourself that bad... but YDI for lying.

How can people ACTUALLY dispute that some people are just allergic to certain insect bites Alright, I'll accept that it's impossible for the OP to be allergic to ALL spiders, but she probably knows he's allergic to few, and is just taking precautions by running away screaming from every spider she sees EIther that or she has arachnophobia, and doesn't want to admit it

I'm allergic to a certain type of spider bite that is normally harmless. First time was my hand, and my arm & wrist nearly double in size. Second time was my calf, and that too swelled up huge. Both times experienced severe throbbing pain & had to keep the extremity elevated. I thought it was a poisonous bite at first, & went to the doctor both times to be sure... nope, just an allergic reaction!

I like them fried and smothered in chocolate, I can get them like that at my local mall! Not joking, I don't know if you are, bit I'm really not joking. There's a candy shop in my mall that sells them I'm little ugly red boxes with plastic windows to see what's inside. And they come in different flavours.

I'm not seeing how it's entirely impossible to be allergic to spiders. My aunt recently went to a doctor to get tested for various allergies and she found out she is allergic to cockroaches (specifically their droppings).
