Freaked out

Today, I woke up to the sound of footsteps outside my room. I investigated but found nothing. As I went back to my room, I heard a sort of giggling from inside. I was so scared, I grabbed my car keys, got the fuck out of there, and drove to my girlfriend's house in my pajamas. FML

Fall

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.

At least you got out instead of wasting time setting up cameras waiting for proof your house is haunted

Chucky is waiting. Or one of those blasted Furbies. I swear they only exist to suck the souls out of the living.

don't worry, sure you were high man. always happens to me

Maybe it was your girlfriend? And she was playing a prank on you? Haha

We need a follow up, OP!

I pictured a child wearing all white cloth

This is why I wouldn't live alone. I don't mind living in a haunted house, but I'd get super freaked out if I heard that.

I have so many stories about my unwanted experiences like this

Come on you guys. Ghosts? Really? OP did the right thing by running scared to hide at his girlfriend's house because he thought he heard a noise? When did everyone on the internet become a bunch of toddlers that are afraid of the boogeyman? Do you all sleep with a night light and have someone check your closet and under your bed for monsters as well?

Geek thing is all the hype now, everyone is acting like the horror movie nerd. It will pass. I myself would probably call 911/311 from the car. Better safe than sorry.

I gotta say, if I heard footsteps and human laughter in my house when I thought I was alone I would probably leave too. Sure maybe I imagined it, but the real worst case scenario isn't ghosts... It's that someone has broken into my house and I don't want to trust that they have good intentions.

Well you do make a good point #145, but I hardly think someone who has broken into your house with the intention of robbing it or harming you would be hiding and giggling. Still, that is why I keep a loaded weapon within reach at all times. Anyone trying to break into my house will be leaving in a bag

I would love a follow up on this.

I'd love to have a follow up on this one. I bet it was his girlfriend & when he got to her house he relaxed that.

I hope nothing got stolen :)
