Today, at my sister's wedding, I went to the very back of the crowd of women waiting to catch the bouquet. Not only did I end up catching it, I was accosted by a crazy chick who ripped it out of my hands, screaming at me in Italian. I later found out she was already engaged. FML

Today, I was at a wedding, and during the bouquet toss, I stood back and let the single ladies have their moment. The bouquet flew straight at me, hit me in the face, and I instinctively grabbed it. Now everyone thinks I’m desperate to get married. FML
Today, at my sister's wedding, she and I had a plan that she would purposely throw the bouquet to my girlfriend, then I would propose in front of everyone. When the bouquet landed in my girlfriend's lap, she screamed, "Ew, no way" and threw it to someone else. FML
Today, at a wedding reception, I accidentally caught the bouquet. I got cussed out by the women who were fighting over it for being uninvited and party crashing. I'm a busgirl and the bouquet only landed on the tray I was holding. FML
Today, my sister and her new husband invited our family and my fiancé over to look at their wedding pictures. Turns out, I caught the bouquet and flashed the world in the process. FML
Today, I was at a wedding reception. Everyone got offended when I threw my hands up and backed off to avoid catching the garter and let the two guys on either side fight for it. Nothing but laughs for the cousin who grabbed the bouquet out of someone else's hand and punched her, though. FML
Today, my wife tried to catch the bouquet at my sister's wedding. Afterward I informed her that only single women were supposed to do that, and she replied "I know". My wife told me that she was divorcing me at my sister's wedding. FML

I'm sorry but i don't know the tradition either. I only had a slight idea from hollywood movies and stuff. Did not want to provide wrong information. I see people get slammed here for asking questions like this. Before I replied, #7 was -3. I understood where they were coming from and gave my advice. From my comment, they realize its about some wedding tradition so its easier to research about it.

@toaster123 Additionally, you didn't even have a REASON to be a douche and demand #7 should learn more about the Christian culture. The bouquet toss does not have a biblical origin and thus isn't inherently Christian in nature. It's actually rather superstitious, since brides were thought to be especially lucky on their wedding day and oftentimes pieces of their dresses would be ripped off. So to keep the guests from fighting, a bouquet would be tossed.
