Clapped out
Today, I had to sell my only means of transportation, my 92 Chrysler Lebaron, to a junking company because the transmission blew. When the guy finally got there, I had to shovel out the 5 feet of snow around my car, help him push it, and help him hook it up. Then his dog bit me. I only got $100. FML

Could be worse, that's 4 times what my father got for a Cutlass Ciera with a blown tranny. <insert oral sex joke here>

how much does it cost to fix a transmission versus buy a new car?

cheaper than you having to tie it anywhere.

in EU you have to pay for recycling yourself, so it's not that bad. And '90s US cars are all shit anyway so don't feel bad.

That is an uninformed statement based on no fact whatsoever

the word tranny can be used for either things... esp if ur someone who works on cars... its a lingo word. and just so u kno op... if u took the lebaron to a junk yard that pays by the pound u prolly would have gotten more. in NY theyll pay u like 7 dollars every 10pounds or

Points out that there are parts of a car that are worth more then 100$ you were ripped off. FYL

your lucky, I had an '89 Lebaron catch fire and melt part of the block. I didn't get anything for it.

now you can sue the guy with the dog, every problem is an opportunity in disguise

Other than the fact that the dog bit you, We should care why?

Sounds like a rough day, OP. I think it's time you go home and shake it off with a nice hot cup of tea. Hope that helps!
