Today, after selling their car, my parents decided to inform me that my car (that I paid for myself) is now going to be the "Family Car". They also informed me that since it is, after all, my car, I'll still have to pay for the gas and maintenance. FML

Today, I got woken up by my parents telling me I had to go buy a car so they could have transportation. Neither of their cars work, so I was letting them use mine, and then they wrecked it. It needs nearly a thousand bucks in repairs to be drivable again, but since it was my car, I have to replace it now to appease them. FML

Today, after replacing several components on my new used car, I realized that the reason it wasn't getting the gas mileage it was supposed to because my coworkers take turns siphoning my gas while I work. FML

Today, my girlfriend's dad let me borrow his car for transportation to work because mine got totaled. This car is a complete dump and I've realized he's only letting me use it so it's my fault to fix the broken things on the car. So far, I've had to replace the battery and two popped tires. FML

Today, I decided I'd sell an old motorcycle I had, in order to help with the bills. I had to be at work at the time when an interested buyer was to show up, so I entrusted my mother with the exchange as she's unemployed. Mom pocketed the money and bought a new freezer for her house, and won't pay me back. FML

Today, I took my partner’s car to fill with gas because mine was in the shop. Out of habit, I put diesel into the tank. We discovered it three hours later; the tow bill ate my weekly budget, the mechanic sighed through the repair estimate, and I spent the evening on hold with roadside help. FML

It's not just the fact that she sold it for her own gain, it's the fact that she STOLE it to sell it for her own gain. And how do you know she's not still in High school? Are you saying High schoolers can't work on cars? That's weird, considering they have machine shop classes...and then there's my friend Jacob who's working on his car to "earn it" when he's 15. Potentially, the mother has been nagging for years to get rid of the hunk of junk and butter_cup has never really looked after it. Maybe the mother has set deadlines and threatened to get rid of it if butter_cup didn't - we don't know.

Reminds me of something that happened to my boyfriend, only she sold two of his project cars (same make & model for switching parts) because he told her to in a dream. And that reminded me to submit that as a FML. :P
