Today, I received the first compliment from the opposite sex that I've gotten in months, from an elderly, cross-dressing man in the parking lot of Goodwill. Apparently my clothes look like they'd be "exciting to try on." FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I received a compliment for the first time from a girl. She told me she admires my courage to go out in public since most ugly people don't like to. FML
Today, I was complimented by a stranger, who said I looked great in my outfit. I thanked her, and she immediately gave me a fist-bump. I stared curiously, and she explained: she was arguing with her friends about whether I'm a man or a woman. The pitch of my voice was the answer. FML
Carpe Diem
Today, at the Y, someone told me I had a cute ass. I liked that until I realized: a) a woman said it; b) I'm a woman; c) I'm straight; d) it's my first compliment in 2 years even though I'm 25; and e) I'm so in need of positive attention I ran after this woman to ask for a date. Me desperate much? FML
Today, I got my first compliment in over a year. It was from my gynecologist, saying I have a beautiful cervix. FML
Slay, queen!
Today, I went to buy my prom dress. I felt really good as I walked out of the dressing room, until someone walked out of the room next to me wearing the same dress, and looked better in it than I did. It was a man buying it for his drag show. FML
Today, I was cleaning at work when an elderly gentleman walked towards me, paused, and with a wink said, "That's what I like to see: a girl on her knees." This is the same workplace where another old man informed me that my yellow uniform made me look like a "suggestive cheesecake." FML
I'm a mess
Today, I was at my usual grocery store when an elderly lady smiled at me and said, "It's so nice to see a young person not obsessed with their appearance." I was dressed in sweats, I hadn't showered, and hadn't brushed my hair. I’m not sure if I should be flattered or insulted. FML
My eyes are up here
Today, an old woman came into my store for help. Towards the end, she asked me my name. I told her while pointing at my name tag. She then replied, "Oh! I didn't notice since I was staring at your boobs. Much prettier to look at." Sadly, this is the first time I've been hit on in months. FML
Today, I was at the grocery store when an elderly woman walked up to me and said, "Why can't every guy be as handsome as you?" I would have been flattered by the comment, if I was a guy. FML
Today, I'm so insecure that I was still slightly flattered when the demented old man at the nursing home where I work hit on me, because at least somebody finds me attractive. FML

Seeing as he's a cross dresser, it looks like that's a compliment on your clothes...

Well that's creepy

How is that creepy? It's just a hobby of his. Some people paint, some people play guitar, he lurks in parking lots wearing women's clothes. Smh.

Someone likes your clothes OP, FYL.

The crossdressing isn't creepy. The "I'd like to wear your clothes" is. Borrowing someone's clothing is an intimate act, or at least symbolic of one.

If you're that lonely, make friends with him...every girl has a gay friend.

Dude, I 'crossdress' sometimes (damn froufrou women's section) and I ain't a lesbian. Actually, gay men have a much lower proportion of crossdressers than straight men do.

Giggity.

it doesn't really matter how she dresses. I don't understand why that's such a big deal nowadays. but seriously, the fact you were able to recognize this as an FML is promising.

you sure that wasn't a euphemism for I'd like to try YOU on?

what the hell? How is that even relevant?

It was a compliment, he wasn't trying to be rude or anything. If you don't feel good about yourself then try to change or get a new haircut always helps

I would be flattered

Is YDI a bad thing here?
ihatemylife10000 0
It means you deserve it so yeah pretty much
crimsonprodigy 15
Well in the context that if she were looking sexy It's definitely a YDI , who doesn't deserve a compliment for good clothes? This should be on LMF.
bmwguy01 8
well I figure if Op was looking "sexy" she would get more compliments, not just from creepy crossdressers.
crimsonprodigy 15
Well maybe she has one of those radiant aura's where every guy is afraid of rejection and never says anything. In which case this was a brave cross dresser and possibly a keeper!

My YDI was for expecting guys to compliment you everywhere you go. Seriously, why are you taking note of such things? Imagine if there was a guy bitching about not being complimented in months by women, would you expect a response other than "who gives a crap"?
