Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, my boyfriend just told me that his mom told him to break up with me, and that she would pay him to do it. His mom is a bitch. FML
Today, my mother-in-law constantly threatens to commit suicide, unless my husband pays her bills. He told me I don’t care about his happiness because I told him he can’t keep giving in to her guilt trips. FML
Today, my husband told me that he's letting his mother move in with us. He told her it was alright without even consulting me first. I hate my mother-in-law so much that I'm contemplating divorce rather than living with her. FML
Today, I found out that my boyfriend's mother still calls his ex-girlfriend her "future daughter-in-law". FML
Today, I was talking to my mom about how my fiancé has been ignoring me and that I didn't know why. Turns out, my mother told him that I was too much of a handful, was mentally disturbed and also cheating on him. Just so I wouldn't move out and would keep cleaning her house for free. FML
Today, my boyfriend said angrily that he should never have gotten together with me, that he should have known a woman with divorced parents would have daddy issues, and never be quite right in the head. His own parents are divorced by the way, and his mom is extremely overbearing. FML
Today, I overheard my boyfriend talking to his mom about me. It sounded like they were planning something for me, like a marriage. They were planning how to break up with me. FML
Today, my future mother-in-law finally admitted that I'm "not the girl for her son" and that she will do anything to break us up. FML
Today, my mother found out that my fiancée broke up with her last boyfriend because she didn't want kids and he did. She's now demanding that I either change her mind, or call things off with her. FML
Today, my mother-in-law confessed that for the longest time, she had fantasies about killing me for "ruining" her daughter's life, basically because I'm not wealthy enough for my mother-in-law's standards. She made sure to let me know the situation hasn't changed at all. FML

You're judging her for a confirmed psychological disorder? Classy.

Look, if you have a bad relationship with her, that's one thing. I can take pity and say I'm sorry you have a poor relationship with your boyfriend's mother. But coming on here and going all "FML" about another woman's psychological condition isn't gonna gain much sympathy. Maybe she felt she could confide in you and tell you this personal, painful bit of her history without you. All I'm saying is that, if your relationship is that bad, complain about something else, instead of her post-partum depression. One more thing: It's also not appropriate for a 17-year-old to talk about marriage. I seriously doubt you're mature enough or ready for it. (And no, that's not judging you personally. That's my opinion on all 17-year-olds.)

It's Postnatal depression and it's common for women to have it, don't judge her so quickly.

Wooooow! So, you little girl, have a shrink? Why are you so apathetic towards a woman who struggled through some emotional issues and had the strength to admit a weakness she overcame? Be grateful, it seems like this was an attempt to bond... sharing that she's human. A lot of mothers naturally dislike their children's partners; where's your appreciation? Well, unfortunately, it looks like any efforts are wasted on your immature ass. *Go ahead and reference your age again! All it will do is prove you are definately still a child.* Ps. Shop for a new therapist. Judging by how obsessively defensive you are on here, the sessions aren't encouraging healthy progress.

You know how ******* stressful it is to raise a child?! Top that with a psychological disorder, I cannot begin to imagine what your mother-in-law was going through, if you think you're old enough to talk about marriage (you obviously aren't) then you're old enough to understand a person cannot control their mental disorders. You ******* ignorant narcissistic idiotic piece of shit.

it's called post partum depression and you are one judgemental bitch.

That is actually pretty normal if she was suffering post partum depression.

And......I'm not really getting the problem. The poor woman obviously had post partum depression. I don't think you should hold that against her.

You are blaming this woman for postpartum depression? What's wrong with you?
