Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, I gave my dad a brochure for anger management. His response? Throwing a chair out the window. FML
Today, at an open mic comedy club, my jokes went down so poorly that someone decided to hurl a chair at me on-stage. FML
Today, I finally stood up to a bully who had been messing with me for over a year. His response? He picked up the chair I was sitting in and threw me across the room. FML
Today, I was escorted out of the building for getting in a scuffle at my anger management class. FML
Today, a girl in my class threw a temper tantrum. Why? Because she wanted my seat. We're in high school. FML
Today, I was arguing with a friend over whether or not I'm fat. She kept telling me that I was. Angry, I sat down on the chair beside her. It broke. FML
Today, I laughed at a coworker for breaking a chair during a meeting. Ten minutes later, I sat in another chair, and it snapped under me. My coworker just whispered, "Karma, bitch." FML
Today, I was dining out with friends. I saw a mom instructing her young child to go to empty tables and take whatever cash had been left. I discreetly told the manager. He confronted the woman and pointed right at me. As she was being thrown out, she tossed a very heavy mug at my head. It hit me. FML
Today, my mom put me in an anger management class because I said "crap." FML
Today, I was at a party, and I sat down on a chair. While conversing with friends, I shifted places on the chair, and broke it. Embarrassed, I then stood up and change chairs. After moving to the next chair, I broke that one too. FML

I once had an older coworker do something similar. I got annoyed with her for something rude she said, and she promptly told me to "grow up," then held her hand up when I tried to respond and said "talk to the hand." I almost laughed, it was so absurd. The irony was just too much.

Emotionally immature is probably better than furniture hurling anger. I mean, you have to dodge less often with emotional immaturity, at least.

Take inspiration from this. Join a dodgeball team. if you can dodge a chair, you can dodge a ball! Also will make for less opportunities to run into the angry chair thrower! hmm... unless they are into dodgeball...

To the person that threw the chair. Was that an example on the way I shouldn't act, or am I allowed to act like a fool and throw a chair in anger?
