Brave guy

Today, I woke up and found a little note where my husband should have been. It said, "We've had some good times, hun, but it's time for me to move on." We've been married for 15 years, and have 3 children. FML

Dump him ! Oh wait...

All I have to say... SUE HIS ASS.

Yeah!!! Real men suck it up and lead a life of quiet desperation. They shut their damn mouths and support their ungrateful, entitled wife and kids and soothe their pain with alcohol, **** and gambling. Isn't this what we all learned in school?

Nope... Though I think OP is referring more to the note-writing and complete lack of acknowledgement of everything they've been through (I.e. 15 years and 3 kids). If it's not working out, fair play... Just don't leave me a 'gone fishing... FOREVER' style note.

Exactly Perdix, shut up and do your duty is a long standing tradition. If anyone needs me, I'll be at the lake, not hiding from my family behind a fishing pole.

Your grammar offends me.

I'm sorry op this is my worst fear.

How do you have a fear of being left? Let alone be your biggest fear.

^ how could giving your life to someone for fifteen plus years ( plus ruining your body with those three kids) only to wake up deserted by your spouse not be scary. I have only been married for seven years and the thought of dating again( if my husband left me) would be terrifying.

Keep the note and use it against him at court

Well he took a fine time to leave you. ***With three hungry children and a crop in the field?. . .

Maybe he has mental issues...depression or something? I'm pretty sure sane people don't act like that...if they'd only been dating sure, but to be married, have kids and still act like that is pretty weird.

Weird, but far from rare. My stepmother left a note that simply said "took the baby, not coming back". According to the judge, it was post partum depression, but she certainly wasn't reconsidering after they out her on medication.

As someone who suffers from bipolar, I know I was a strain to some people before treated and even now when I gave flare ups. To me bipolar is an explanation, not an excuse for some actions. And if I don't get help, everything I do falls on me. I had a bad manic episode a couple of months ago. As soon as it came on, I called my doc, handed over my keys, and his my credit cards. Yes there was still an impact on those Iove, but at least it was minimized as much as possible.

leaving a note to tell your girlfriend/boyfriend you left? not acceptable. if youre seeing someone, you should always break up face to face

Drifter - your example didn't prove anything. So what if she didn't go back afterwards? That suggests it was probably bad enough for her to leave but she couldn't talk about it before because of her situation and depression. In any case, I personally can't conceive acting like this unless there were underlying issues but I guess there are a lot of bad and selfish people in the world...still think depression is a possibility though. Fits the profile.

Look on the bright side... Hold on give me a sec to think
