Today, my boyfriend asked me to text him when I got home after driving 40 miles in bad weather from his house back to mine. When I did, he broke up with me. FML
Today, my boyfriend decided he's asexual and dumped me on the spot. FML
Today, my boyfriend introduced me to his mom, but she decided I was “unsuitable.” I hoped he’d be on my side. Nope, he just accepted her word as law, broke up with me, and pushed me outside. He'd driven me there, so I had to find a bus in a city I’ve never been to, in the dark, without a coat. FML

If it starts out with you can’t go for a walk alone think of how much worse it would’ve gotten as time progressed. I know it hurts that he broke up with you but don’t take them back because people like that have more than just control issues. When I think of people like your boyfriend I think of someone who gaslights people and much much worse. I agree with everyone else saying that you dodged a bullet and to run don’t walk away from him.
