Today, after a long therapy session, in which I poured out all my feelings of how happy and in love I am with whom I believe to be my soul-mate, my shrink asked me if I was sure this guy wasn't a figment of my imagination. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Today, at my therapy appointment, I was spilling my guts to my therapist. When I'd finished, to get rid of the awkward silence, I asked, "I'm not crazy, right?" His response was, "That's bit of a loaded question." FML
Today, while I was explaining my troubles to my therapist, he asked me, "And don't you have someone you can tell all that?" FML
Today, my mom asked if I was seeing anyone. I launched into a description of my girlfriend, only for her to interrupt, saying that she meant a therapist, and the fact that I'd just made up a relationship was further proof that I needed one. I really do have a girlfriend. FML
Today, a client stared at me in disbelief after I mentioned that I had a boyfriend. FML
Today, I told a guy at work about my boyfriend. His immediate response was to ask me if I was making him up. He's the third person to react this way. FML
Today, I found out that I'm completely and utterly head over heels in love with a man who, as it turns out, doesn't actually exist. Thank you, the internet. FML
Today, my boyfriend of over a year finally told me he loved me. This revelation was quickly followed by "at least, I think this is how people feel when they say that." FML
Today, a guy took me out on a date. His imaginary friends joined us. FML
Today, my therapist clapped for me when I told her I'd made a friend. FML
Today, I confessed my feelings to the guy I've had the biggest crush on. He spent the next ten minutes calling me delusional, said that I know nothing about him, and laughed that "this isn't Twilight, for fuck's sake". All he did when I started crying was pat me on the head and leave. FML

I don't know what he's talking about. Imaginary people are the best! They're always there with you, no matter what! I prefer to capture mine and use them for hard labor but whatever works for you I guess.

Is the shrink real? A good way to determine would be to check your wallet and see if large amounts of money have gone missing.

don't worry, if it's just a therapist they aren't very well-trained, anyway. I had to see a therapist in order to get adderall and she was dumb as ****. "So. Tell me about yourself." Uh. Could you be a LITTLE more specific? Do people really enjoy trying to answer that question? After two hours of interrogation, she was speechless. It was kind of funny. People forget that therapists, doctors, etc are all just people who have their own problems too- not all-knowing demigods sent to Earth to solve all of your problems
