Am I being detained?
Today, a police car hit my parked vehicle, likely due to icy road conditions. When the officer came over to talk to me, I assumed it was to give me his insurance information. Nope. It was to give me a ticket for "impeding a police officer." My car was in my driveway. FML

Get a lawyer and sue him. It's highly unlikely that anything else would be successful.

All cops have cams on them so I would take the number off of the cops car and tell someone from police station what happened and ask them watch the video

He's trying to cover his own ass. What a dick. Fight the ticket and contact the police department to let them know what happened immediately. If you can take photos of the skid marks in the snow from his car. The more evidence the better. Good luck.

You should have refused to sign it. He won't arrest you when he knows it's his fault. He'll lose his job and get sued.

Dont move your car. Take a lot of pics /video. Call it in. Call your insurance. Your insurance company will fight him too.
