Alas, poor Stuart
Today, I woke up to hear dripping water in the kitchen. Thinking it was someone getting a glass of water or something, I came out to find that it was just a mouse drowning in my dog's water bowl. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, I found out that the noise I thought was a mouse in my room was a water bottle shaking when my refrigerator turned on. I stayed up till 4am looking for a mouse that didn't exist. FML
Today, I woke up to my cat slowly dragging her paw across my face. I opened my eyes to see a bloody mouse dangling an inch from my face. It was still twitching. FML
Today, I found out that the horrific smell coming from somewhere in my kitchen was a rotting dead mouse that somehow got stuck in my dishwasher. I have been eating off plates washed in dead mouse water for the past week. FML
Today, I heard a loud crashing noise. I ran into the kitchen to see what it was. My cat had knocked over my fish bowl and had my Beta in her mouth. After scolding her and rescuing it, I decided to clean its bowl. When I went to dump some of the water in the sink, my fish went down the drain. FML
Today, I woke up to what sounded like twigs snapping. Turns out it was the skull of a live mouse being crushed in my cat's jaws. FML
Today, I woke up to a mouse sitting on my pillow and chewing on my hair. FML
Today, I discovered that the rancid stench in my bathroom was a decaying carcass of a mouse in my toilet tank. FML
Today, I walked into my house and saw it was flooded. I went upstairs to the bathroom to see the toilet overflowing and my boyfriend holding my dog over it so he could drink it. My boyfriend said he didn't know what else to do. FML
Today, I set up a mouse trap to kill the rodent plaguing my kitchen. While lying in bed, I heard an unmistakable snap, and ran to see what I'd caught. The mouse trap was missing. I now have a large, angry, and possibly dying animal running around my house. FML
Today, I noticed my shower drain wasn't draining well. I cleaned it out, thinking it was just a rat's nest of hair. Wrong. It was an actual dead rat. FML

"Today, I tried to cool myself off in a pool, but ended up drowning. A human came out but instead of helping me, they posted an FML. FML."

Did you save it?

At least its dead. Better than contaminating your food.

I hope you rescued it and put it outside!

Lol, why was #7 down voted? OP didn't say the mouse was dead already so it's still possible to save it. :p

Today I decided to be spontaneous. I when on a walk to go get some fresh water for my darling wife. As I bent down to get some water from the watering hole I fell in. I guess its too late to take those swimming lessons. FML.

Did somebody poison it?

I had to read this a few times until I realized that it was the FML from the mouse's perspective.

It's not "just" a mouse :(
False_Stupidity 42
Was it a special mouse then? Named Mickey perhaps?

well technically it is just a mouse. and plus it killed itself. it's not like he put the mouse in the bowl.

I think the "just" was meant to be sarcastic (I would have flipped my shit if I ever saw that); and as much as I think animals should be respected, we honestly can't say the death of a mouse would have the same repercussions on its "family" and surroundings as the death of a human on theirs...

You literally do not know that, #18
Nyattack 14
I indeed think animals feel way more emotions than we suspect. However, most mammals don't stay together in groups such as families or even packs (mice don't). Therefore, the death of an individual will have much less impact around it than if it was part of a complex society like most humans are.

So did you save the mouse?
