Today, at work, I stepped out for a few minutes to use the bathroom. Shortly after returning, I found out the hard way that one of my coworkers had used my computer to send a profanity-filled email to our boss, calling him an asshole and telling him to go fuck himself. I'm now jobless. FML

The boss is unlikely to believe OP without some real proof. OP left the computer unsecured. Not quite a YDI but you really F'ed up.

It's possible that OP's coworker wasn't trying to screw OP over, but they perhaps didn't realize they were on OP's email when they sent it. maybe they were actually trying to send hate to the boss.

Op might have gotten fired because they left their computer unsecured while they went to the bathroom... if op works with sensitive personal information or account information on his computer I can see that as being a huge problem.

Ya I'm surprised they didn't look at any cameras to see if someone else was using your computer. I hope things look up for you though :)
