Today, I finally paid off the massive debt on my credit card. I came home only to find that almost everything I owned had been repossessed an hour before I paid the debt. FML

I think this post is fake. If you legit paid it all they would have told you that some of your things were repoed. If you did really pay off the debt go to the credit companies and demand your stuff back since you paid your debt.

not to mention if you had enough money to pay off all of the debt, you should have been paying off parts of the debt as you were collecting it, and they wouldn't have repoed your stuff.

They don't repo unless you bought something like a car. I had credit cards, I know better.

exactly, because credit cards just keep piling on the interest. eventually your credit's in the shitter and you can't buy anything, but they don't repo stuff. and even if they did, you're supposed to tell them when to expect payment so they DON'T repo your stuff an hour before you pay them.

YDI for not knowing how to shop smartly. People get credit cards not knowing how to use them smartly and when they dive into debt, they wonder how it happened.

This seems so fake cause who waits to accumulate a large sum of money THEN pay off the debt? With interest rates the way they are its ridiculous to leave money in savings with such a debt. At worse you go get your stuff back.

Maybe he got a loan from a family member to pay off the debt. But I've never heard of reposession of stuff for credit card debt. They just keep racking on the charges and fees. They don't want the stuff.

Or maybe all of this happened a while ago, but it seems like "today" since 100% of the FMLs NEED to have "Today" written into them. We;ve been over this before...Idiots... EDIT: Why is my comment showing up HERE instead of up there? ^^^

It could of been rental furniture. Some people buy it that way and if you default they will repo it. That is why I save and buy what I need. I know it's mine!
