Today, after the two week winter break, I went back to school to find that the bookbag that I'd left in my car was covered in some creepy, pink gooey stuff. Under the freezing conditions, my lotion had exploded all over my notes and bag. FML

I smell shenanigans. Most lotions are water based, so it wouldn't just explode, it would freeze inside the bottle. Perhaps the bottle cracks because the ice expands, but unless the lotion thawed, and leaked out the crack, it wouldn't just ooze out.

Yeah that does suck, hopefully you didn't leave your homework in there. ____________________________________ www.myspace.com/rapid99

Happened to me before, lotionexplosion, and how to explain that to your teacher?

[email protected] myspace(: ohh nd that sucks! Whilr i was gonr for vacation my mom cleaned out my room and threw out my hw and this book i had to read :O sucks

I don't know if lotion explodes in freezing conditions or not, but why would anyone care? Wiping the lotion off the bag or putting it in the wash would take at most 30 minutes of total time to fix. Plus, it's a new semester for every school in America, who cares about your old notes? This is so irrelevant it borders on the non-existent. I mean, are there submitters here who walk around going "the first moderately inconvenient thing that happens to me, I'm submitting this to FML"? Is this what people think of when they think "**** my life": lotion inside a bookbag?

new semester doesn't start until late January, and some schools have midterm testing that they need the notes for. But yes people do just want something to post

In my area, the high schools resume after break and have 2 weeks until the new semester starts. And it's also possible that this isn't from a high school student. And though colleges all start new semesters after the break, it's possible that the OP Is taking a sequential class, or would have a need to consult otherwise-outdated notes. And if there were any textbooks in the bag, whether high school or college, the OP is screwed. That shit's expensive.

My university has finals after winter break (which was only two weeks this year). We don't start a new semester until February.

5, half of the people on here don't actually. go on a rampage over what they submit on fml, it's not like people actually care it's for amusement. and if you have a problem go somewhere else :) fyl op

It's like this numnutz: An expanding liquid could explode a container. At best, you left the cap loose or unscrewed. At worse, the container cracked from the cold and the liquid leaked. I suspect the former. FYL for the mess. FYL for your ignorance. FYL for avoiding responsibility.
