Yes I know that the accident rate is technically higher for women than it is for men, but it's not THAT much higher. And it doesn't take into account the AT FAULT accidents. SO where as women could technically have more accidents, less of them could be caused by their own fault.
The reason why women tend to be lesser skilled at driving is because they're more likely to get road rage, and their not as good as focusing on one single task at a time, they're better at multi-tasking (I realize that driving is similar to multi-tasking but the majority of the focus is on the road ahead).
So, while the stereotype may seem true at times, it doesn't apply to ALL female drivers. Just like the stereotype of asians being bad drivers doesn't apply to ALL asians, and that not all teenage boys race their cars like another stereotype implies. =)

I'm not sure why you think water always boils at 100 degrees because that's just plain not true. Depending on how high or low you are in comparison to sea level it varies. Regardless, it's irrelevant. McDonalds serves their coffee at 180-190 degrees in order to maintain taste, and you get third degree burns instantly when the temperature is above 160 degrees....so imagine how rapidly it happens at 180-190 degrees, and when your clothing is absorbing it and keeping it on your skin. It's like tea, the hotter the water the more the steeping and the better the taste, and it's also why coffee at home doesn't taste as good as the coffee in the shops. The average household coffee is between 130-140 degrees which would take more than five seconds to cause a third degree burn.
To the FML chick, I hope that lady takes her tom tom out of her car, she's lucky she didn't kill you.

I just want to point out that one day i decided to surprise my girlfriends mom with her fav starbucks drink. It is very high maintainance and involves many steps for perfection, the key....being heated to exactly 195 degrees, now most coffee places have actually rejected to make the drink because it's too hot, getting into the car recieving that drink last to keep it warm, the lid wasn't sealed properly and as i was holding it from the top the ENTIRE drink fell on top of me...all 195 degrees of it....guess what NO BURNS WHAT SO EVER!!! I'm no scientist at all, heck it couldve been degrees c or f...all i know is if it's THAT hot that it isn't always served and I'm fine, that chick at mcdonalds should be fine as well.

anyway, the GPS systems were invented for people who actually have a brain. unfortunately some people, like the woman in this FML, don't know how to interpret directions and look at the on-screen map when using a GPS. i've never had a problem following the directions on my Navigon. so, the technology is not the problem. it's the person using it that is the problem. people don't know how to think anymore.

If you're too fucking stupid to realize that there's no turn where your navigation system says, you probably should drive off a cliff. Honestly. I've used them before, and they're about 100-500 feet off, usually before the turn happens. That's why you WATCH THE ROAD and not the screen. That's why it also gives you the street name, you dumbass. If there's no road, don't turn. It's a relatively simple concept that most males seem to compehend pretty easily. Reminds me of my best friend, I went to her new house for the first time and my GPS said make a left but she swore up and down it was a right, I drove up and down the street, My mum and I fought about it she said follow the GPS, I said nah she knows where she lives.. well i don't really know which sex is statistically better at driving, but it really doesn't matter.
there are only 2 sexes and a bunch of things that can be statistically analyzed, so chances are women prevail in some of these things and men do in others. so if one sex is statistically worse at driving, there are plenty of things they will be statistically be better at, and that doesn't mean sexes can't defy stats.
and this FML was about the women who turned early being an idiot, so this FML doesn't really prove much other than what the driving skills of that one woman are. and im not trying to be feminist, it could be true women are worse, but should they really not be allowed to drive like some say? i dont think so.
i've heard women are better at talking and mutlitasking. so should men only be allowed to do one thing at a time and always be quiet? all sexes should be able to do the same things (of course, physical things like peeing standing up and giving birth are things are some exceptions). because no matter what, people of both sexes will do well in all tasks, and people of both sexes will fuck up at tasks, women AND men BOTH.

It amazes me how many people can easily get their licence these days. It's like it comes in a cereal box. Women are not worse drivers. Infact, everyone is as bad as each other. Some know how to handle a car, others don't. Today, I saw 3 crashes all caused by Asian people. Not being racist, I never am - I'm just speaking logically, and in a matter of fact. But I've noticed that 99% of the crashes I have seen in my entire life have been caused by the same people. Learn how to drive properly for starters, and actually look where the hell you're going, especially blind spots. Don't know how the hell that lady got her licence if she relys on a friggen GPS.
