Today, my boyfriend flamboyantly proposed to me in a packed restaurant. I promptly had a panic attack and fainted in front of at least fifty people and a full mariachi band. FML

It's not your fault OP, it's not easy to be put on the spot like that. I hope all is well and he understood. PS- Am I the only one who pictured a super gay man singing his way through a proposal with a full accompaniment or...

Something a little extra to always make the big moments a little more memorable.

And yes, I realize OP is a girl, I just read flamboyant and immediately thought of Cam from Modern Family.

You're not the only one who imagined Cam!

#4....I was actually picturing Steve Martin in the Three Amigos! ***If you haven't seen that movie, you really should....classic***

I didn't, but I'm so glad you put that image in my head.

As a flamboyant man, if I were to propose, there would be glitter confetti, a flash mob, fireworks, a parade float, etc and it would probably happen outside a Nordstrom or pottery barn.

wait, they have Mexican food in the UK? I wonder how good it is

The stuff I've had there isn't very good (but I was born and raised in San Diego, so I'm snobby about my Mexican food). I don't even think LA has good Mexican food. Indian food in the UK is usually amazing, though.

We don't actually have that many Mexican people here so the food is usually fairly rubbish or run by people that are definitely not Mexican. Our version of Mexican food is a plate of nachos with salsa.

I bet I could make a killing if I moved across the pond

Might be more useful than those currently on their way...

Yea that's because the UK used to own India...

Probably tastes something like "Mexican" food in, say, Pennsylvania. In other words, very little spice or remotely Mexican influence, and more local tastes.

i think she is asking just bc there was a fml couple of hours ago where the bf proposed to his girlfrnd but she slapped him.

I mean.... if he didn't know you well enough to know you'd have a panic attack over a big gesture.... fyl and his

Panic attacks are funny like that. She probably didn't know it was a possibility either.
