Today, I was watching a documentary on The World's Fattest Man. Half way through the show the reported started talking about his girlfriend. The Fattest Man in the world has a girlfriend. I'm 21 an have never had a girlfriend. FML

Women can definitely be hard if you don't know what you're doing. If it's too hard for you, you just need more practice. If you want a girlfriend, ask girls to go out with you. For every one that turns you down, ask out two more. Sooner or later, things will go well with one of them, and before you know it, she'll be your girlfriend.

Don't even worry about it. I didn't have my first boyfriend until I was 18 and 1/2. And I wish I hadn't bothered really, he wasn't worth the time. Now I have my second boyfriend at age 20, who I absolutely love and finally lost my virginity with, it was definitely worth the wait for someone like him.
Also, my brother didn't have a girlfriend until he was 22.
And no, neither of us is highly overweight or unattractive. For some people, it just takes a while.

I'm 21 and I have never had a boyfriend. When I was 14 I had an awkward fake online relationship but never a real one. My first kiss was at a dance club with a stranger when I was 19. I have no regrets about it though because I was so afraid of my first kiss-- didn't want to be terrible with someone I knew, liked and would see again-- that I really thought of it more as a disadvantage that was holding me back and preoccupying my mind. I'm glad I'm free of it now.

Two hundred years ago, girls were getting married at 13 years old. Now it's more common to wait until you're in your 30's. Life is getting longer and slowing down. Don't lose hope.

guys, if you havent met the right person its because you aren't going out there and getting it OR you have too high of standards for yourself. If you are 22 and you haven't been laid you are probably taking care of your own sexual urges.
girls, if you haven't gotten any play its because you are either ugly or stuck up and no one is good enough for you. If its because you are ugly, don't worry, someone will still want to bang you. Its because you are stuck up, you just need to be put in your place. When this happens be sure to post it on FML.
For the gentlemen -- Here is my surefire method of getting out of a dry spell for the guys:
1. No more self satisfaction..... your fine at first but after a week or two you can watch your expectations/standards drop to meet your reality. I'm serious. You're gonna need it an there is only one way to get it. Your body wants it and WILL make it happen. Just don't rape anybody, weirdo.
2. Go out and meet people. Don't talk about how you have never gotten laid, don't talk about star wars. talk about music, talk about things you are passionate about (that are not nerdy). If you are in college go to a party, if you are in highschool, find a way to meet people outside of your school because at your school you are already tagged a loser and it is going to be hard to get around that... for HS kids I'd recommend club sports, volunteering at non-profits for an hour or two after school where you can meet people who will judge you based on your merit, not how you have been pegged by your rude and immature classmates... there is simply too much baggage for people like you in highschool. If you are out of college, look for something like a singles bicycle group or anything like that if you aren't in to bars.
between a rise in libido, a lowering of expectation, and an influx of new targets, you should be able to pull it off.

Seriously, getting a boyfriend/girlfriend isn't easy. It's not because we don't try, not because we lack the talking skills, not because we can't seduce, etc. It's way too often because of completely unchangeable reasons, like, for example, having a completely ridiculous voice. Few girls are willing to go out with you, when their first words to you are "Do you breathe out of a helium tank?".
Take the world's fattest man for example. He MAY have a girlfriend... but there are VERY few women who would even think to get out with him. He was lucky enough to find his perfect match.
As for the rest of us, we're still searching for a girl/a guy who will be smart enough to overlook our "flaws".

#141, Warlock, you don't know every situation, and I think it's really unfair for you to say you don't feel bad for any girl who's never been laid since most guys will have sex wtih any girl. I was in a relationship with a guy for two years who wouldn't have sex with me....and I'm thin, shapely, and atractive. And it's not like I didn't "put myself out there"....I practically begged him and tried every trick possible and dealt with a lot of suffering because of it. Yeah, it was my fault for staying with him for so long, but I don't think it's fair for you to say you'd don't feel bad for girls who don't get laid. If you knew my situation, I don't think you'd say that. Even pretty girls sometimes don't get laid and wind up being 21 year old virgins after ending a two year relationship.

I know how you feel!!!! I'm going to be 20 in less than two months, and I've never had a boyfriend, or even been on a date. I did make out with a guy one time because I was stupid enough to think he actually liked me. He was drunk. A week later he was going out with one of my friends. He was my first kiss (and is still my only kiss, though this happened almost a year ago), and it was absolutely horrible. Don't worry. It'll happen. If it makes you feel better, I didn't even have friends before college, so I never went to any school dances or anything. I still get really depressed thinking about how I never went to my prom. I thought about it but I would have just wound up standing in the corner by myself. And I've lived in the same school district my whole life.
Maybe you should try a dating site? I'm getting desperate, and I would have joined one already but I would have to ask my parents to pay for it... It seems like it would help though, meeting someone knowing that you both wanted the same thing. Good luck!!!!!

#91 - its not all about looks. those "ugly assholes" might be really nice sweet guys - and i know you might be one too, but theres obviously something theyre doing differently. its also just as possible that those "hot girlfriends" have an IQ of 12, treat them like shit...or, just arent their girlfriends.
warlock - it may seem depressing to you now to think of having sex with only one person your entire life....but if you value yourself (as you should), and want a meaningful relationship..then sex with other people really isnt your main priority....im not saying sex isnt important...because its an integral part of a relationship...but its the number of people you get to have sex with thats really irrelevant.
