Today, I woke up really early before my mom so I could make pancakes for mother's day. I placed everything on a tray and even picked a flower, had a card for her and took it to her bedroom. She said "You shouldn't have, pancakes are fattening." She took one bite and fed the rest to the dogs. FML

when we were little me and my brother used to make our mom a dessert for mothers day. they probably didn't taste that good but she ate it and pretended to like it anyways. one year she told us not to make one since she was trying to count calories and watch her weight so i spent forever cutting a ton of fruit and making a huge fruit salad while she was at work. when she came back i gave her the salad all proud of myself and she told me that she had already eaten and didnt want it. i burst out crying.
