I just keep mine hidden inside many discreet folders. I've got 'Stuff' on the desktop, then 'Junk' in that, then 'Shit I need to delete' inside that, and then 'Random crap' in that.
The only reason I can see to keep the porn on the thumb drive is to avoid the situation of people borrowing your computer and stumbling across it on your hard drive. I understand the thought, but you need a lesson in paranoia.
I keep all my porn on my hard drive, but it's hidden in a TrueCrypt repository with an inconspicuous name (cachetmp.dat or something). And that repository is protected by both a password and a keyfile stored in another inconspicuous location on my hard drive. Nobody's ever getting into my porn stash without my knowledge.
Now, the problem is that I tend to be lazy about moving stuff from c:\Downloads to the porn stash. I could see the thumb drive being a partial solution to this problem, if you want to limit yourself to only torrenting while you're sitting at the machine.

A lot of people change folder names so others won't know what is really in them, and the teacher shouldn't have just started opening folders without asking you regardless of what the folders are named. Next time name it something else, like someone else said, something no one would really have any interest in clicking.

I kind of agree, though, that you should not keep your porn on a flash drive, or at least keep it on a separate one from your schoolwork. Don't worry too much about it, and try to laugh about it. 2. Find out what drive letter the USB is. Say it's E:\
In the CMD window, type:
E:
3. Create a folder, say you name it "pr0n"
Dump your shit in there, and go back to cmd.
Type :
attrib +s +h "pr0n"
4. That will hide it. If you want it back, do the same thing. but type,
attrib -s -h "pr0n"
Now don't get caught again!

I would have to say that I sympathize with you on the matter that your teacher opened the folder without permission.
However, you deserve it for not hiding it more creatively -- I don't keep a stash of porn, but other secret files that I have are kept at least two folders in. You had the misnaming part right, and it's a good name for most occasions, but if you really want to hide something it should be good for any and all occasions. Even if you think you'll remember to fix it beforehand or something, you may not have time or you may simply forget.
You also deserve it for giving your teacher a flash drive with porn. I don't care how cleverly hidden you thought it was, at that point it's too accessible to the teacher. If it's something they can pick up on immediately, like porn, it should not be within the teacher's grasp.

- Using a Thumb Drive can be convenient if you don't have your own computer and you are looking at porn on the family computer when you are home alone. You don't need to risk keeping stuff on a "public" hard drive that way.
- It may not be possible for everyone to look at porn on Internet, because of the history (and other traces). Some people don't know how to erase it, and some people can't afford to erase it (otherwise their dad will ask them some questions). I had a friend who once asked me to put porn on a flash drive for him because of his dad would be suspicious if the history mysteriously vanished.

I am by no means a computer wiz, but this is easy and works well.
File Encryption!
I found this program called TruCrypt (just google it) and will encrpyt a portion of your flashdrive, so no one can read it without a password (a very long password). Then when you look at your flashdrive, you see a (chose file size) 2gb portion of your flashdrive that is unreadable memory. To anyone else, this looks like a junk file that got screwed up by your computer. However, you can decode it using TruCrypt (which decodes only in RAM, not on the flashdrive or your hard drive, therefore even more undetectable). Also, if this is too suspicious for you, then you can make the files invisible, so when you look at your flashdrive, it says 2.6gb empty space, when really 2.6gb of that is for your . . . . whatever. Genius, i know.
