Today, I adopted a cat, thinking it would make my life a little less lonely. Within an hour, the cat ran away. Not even animals want to be around me. FML

You should be very careful to keep a new pet indoors till it’s accustomed to its new home.

Sounds like you need to get a fish. If it tries to run away, it dies. If your presence causes fish suicide, you might want to change you wardrobe, your haircut and your personality.

I agree. Usually when you get a new let, or if you move, you keep the cat inside for a few days, or even up to a week.
