nice of her to verbally abuse you for her crappy parenting skills.
I would have loved to be the guy getting the milkshake. I would have yelled at the mom for criticizing what I ordered. I find that people who beat up on service workers are actually cowards who instantly retreat from the criticism of other customers who they see as "real people." It's why they bully the service workers in the first place. They're scared of everyone else.
As someone who's worked a few years in the customer service industry, I could not agree more.
