Today, my wife was complaining she always has to put up the Christmas tree. So this year while she was out shopping, I decided to put it up. I set it too close to the fireplace and it caught fire. I'm a firefighter. FML

um I have a degree in firefighting I'm 26 and the tree was too big to start with and it was fake. plus we have a open fire place. so I put the tree in the best possible spot. my bad I put it out b4 it hurt any of the house.... no more tree tho

liar... one, you start saying that this was today... if you ignited your fresh (not easy to burn unless you had it in the flame you retard) tree today - I think you'd be more worried about the damage to your house (or section 8 apartment)... and I'll bet you are a volunteer fireman, fat and out of shape- bit you feel important bc you are allowed to buy flashing lights and a cb for your 83 dodge pickup. just die already

Oh yes and you're some wildly successful billionaire who saves Haitian babies and cures world hunger in his spare time, and not some loser-ass wannabe troll who spends all his time online hiding behind a fake profile so he can feel man enough to throw stones at anyone who dares to admit to a shortcoming. Even if he is an old, fat volunteer, at least he's doing something. Go back to school, maybe when you grow up you'll learn the value of helping others.

Being a volunteer firefighter doesn't automatically mean their old or fat or out of shape. Some towns only have volunteer service, but they're still required to have rigorous qualifications

I've heard rumours... but I think that was a very long time ago. Not sure what OP is doing setting trees on fire when people still read books though...
