Today, my parents sat me down and told me that I'm adopted. I took it in stride, and reassured them that as far as I'm concerned, they're my true parents. That annoyed them. Apparently the whole thing was a prank for a YouTube video, which I ruined by not crying or freaking out. FML

While jokes like that are in no-way funny, I think you handled that in the best possible way. Coming from someone who is adopted, had my parents waited until now to tell me, I would have FREAKED. I admire your composure.

Could be worse pranks that they could have done to you. It is epic that it back fired on them! You should see if they still have the video and load it up so all can enjoy their failure!!!

That's pretty demented to tell you you're adopted to make you cry on YouTube. Apparently your parents are insensitive pricks who have no consideration for the fact that other people really are adopted and may actually be upset in that kind of situation
