hormone replacement therapy doesn't "cause breast cancer". it's just a possibility. it's one of the risks you take. but the risks you take by not getting hormone replacement therapy can include things from hair growth to osteoporosis. you need to do your research. also, they recommend 4 periods a year but if you think about it, there was a time when women started getting pregnant and 15 or 16 and continued to be constantly pregnant until they either grew too old to have kids or they died. and they were fine considering how little knowledge they had about medical care.
