I'd say to hell with them both. You definitely don't need people like that in your life. That's not a friend...and he's not the sort of man you commit yourself to. Move on OP, and center your love on someone more deserving of it.

I had that happen years ago. It mentally breaks you down. I had trust issues with female friends and men for a long long time. It does get better, once you find the right guy, and a true best friend.
