Today, my boyfriend and I went shooting. While I was showing him how to properly hold and adjust a rifle, he accidentally pulled the trigger. The gun kicked back and hit me in the face, breaking my nose. FML

YDI for having the gun loaded cocked and not having the safety on

Are you sure he "accidently" pulled the trigger?

Hunters these days. Those rednecks should have learned after Dick Cheney's friend shot him in the face. But... I doubt that was on accident ;)

that's why they make a safety button on guns..

my rifle doesnt have a safety lock.. and he was holding it and i went to adjust the gun and i was kneeling and i guess he didnt hear me yellin at him when i was walking up and pulled the trigger while i was on my knee adjusting his form

you must be a crappy teacher for that to happen...practice some gun safety next time?

You can most definitely teach someone on a loaded gun. They just have to be responsible enough to handle it. My fiancé is a city boy and my friends (who have 30+ guns) and I have been teaching him and we've always used loaded guns. We're smart enough to use the safety though. And not all rifles bigger than a .22 kick. We were shooting a pretty hefty deer rifle one day that had the same kick of a .22. Gaw now I need to go shooting. Thanks guys.

You and your friends don't know proper weapon safety. You all shouldn't be teaching anyone anything.

Austin?! Texas?! What sort of pussy are you dating?!
