Today, my boyfriend and I announced to my son and his daughter that they'll have a half-sibling soon. His daughter was stunned, and my son disgustedly went: "No! No! NO! Your unemployment and his disability checks aren't even enough to pay for the bills of this house!" He's 14. FML

I mean to be fair, it's not jealousy if he's pointed out anything that's accurate. If it's inaccurate you should assure him of that and assure them both that having a new sibling doesn't mean they mean any less or not enough. Sounds like he's concerned about finances and to a point that a fourteen year old might be ahead of his peers on. Trust me if he's already considering financial burdens he's probably scrutinizing himself harshly about them as well and that can mess you up at that age. Especially if you wind up with a surprise genetic disease that only amplifies your anxiety about that stuff.

you have no business having another child.........you should be trying to find a job that pays enough to supports your family not popping out babies and trying to live off unemployment that is irresponsible and you by no means sound ready for a child based on your actions alone. #prevention

Today, I got a call saying I was successful in my interview to be a pizza delivery driver. As I picked up my contract and got in my car, I reversed sideways into a pole and ripped off my front bumper. The manager came out and helped jam the bumper in so I could make it home. FML

Today, and over the past three months, I and four of my immediate family have been in hospital. Debilitating foot infection. Brain tumor. Urinary tract infection. Stroke. I just found out a few minutes ago my aunt just went in. I'm starting to think I'm going to be losing relatives any second. FML

Today, I’ve been growing dreads for two years after I lost my hair to chemo. After visiting my boyfriend’s family, we all contracted lice from the kids. Even though I did the shampoo and treatment, my locks are too coiled to effectively comb out all the nits. I have to shave my head again. FML
