Natty dread

Today, I’ve been growing dreads for two years after I lost my hair to chemo. After visiting my boyfriend’s family, we all contracted lice from the kids. Even though I did the shampoo and treatment, my locks are too coiled to effectively comb out all the nits. I have to shave my head again. FML

As a fellow cancer/chemo survivor, I appreciate your frustration. Losing you hair the first time is upsetting, being forced to cut it off again sucks! But your hair will grow back again and you will survive.

That sucks. Fortunately, if you leave your dreads in a sealed plastic bag in the freezer for at least two weeks, you will be able to use them as extensions later on.
