Wow. That's a shitty assistant. For an office cheating scenario she really dropped the ball on that one. Generally you think of them saying something like: "Sorry mrs. blank, he's in a meeting."

I'm pretty sure the assistant didn't know OP was his wife. Also, why is everyone assuming that OP's douchebag husband has two wives? It's more likely that he told the secretary that the other woman was his wife to avoid social awkwardness, IMO.

It's blatant sarcasm. Obviously he's a douche, but in a scenario like that I.E. movies or books or anything, generally they have a back up system for things like that. He obviously didn't think too far a head, well... with one of his heads.
