Today, I went out to a club with a friend who got her wallet stolen. Wanting to help her look for it, I left my purse with a different friend while I went back inside to look. She put my purse on the floor and it got stolen as well. FML

I can only assume that by purse you mean a massive bag of the size of Russia, because otherwise I can't understand why would you just not take the bag with you

Whoops I miss clicked... however by the sounds of it the purse would've been one of those small purses with no straps to go around your shoulder. Those are extremely annoying to carry around when you have already got a seat and mostly at a club where it's so crowded. So it was just a small purse/wallet that isn't meant to be carried. Plus if you have a trustworthy friend (which she found out she doesn't) why would you bother taking it with you?
