Today, we got our family pictures back from the printers. I complained to my mom about the ones she picked. "Oh don't worry," she said. "I had them photoshop out your gut." I was talking about my smile. FML

Today, formal portraits of my entire class were posted online, with about five photos per person. As my mom was looking at them, she was commenting about how pretty all my classmates look. When she got to my photos, all she had to say was, "Ugh". FML

That's a really inappropriate thing to say to your child. If your mother didn't want to pay to have your photos retouched, that's her business, but a hurtful comment like that is uncalled for, no matter what your kid looks like. I'm sure you're beautiful in your own way, so don't let her insults get to you.

I really wish people would read previous comments before they put a comment in. How many freakin' "I got it from you" comments do we REALLY need??? On a side note: ooooooo! Burned by your mom! Seriously, though, that put a smile on my face.
