Today, I was sitting in the coffee shop where my boyfriend and I used to go before he broke up with me about a week ago. I was missing him and wishing he was there, when all of a sudden this 14-year-old kid comes up to me and says, "He's not coming, you may as well go home." FML

Did you see this kid before? Like did he work there and might have seen you two together? Or was he just some punk who thought it would be funny to say and it turned out to be a strange coincidence....?

Wise words. That kid is gonna grow up to be a wise monk. Time to move on..

It just wasn't meant to be. It's good you've found out now rather than later

Wise words from a wise kid. Heed his advice and let go of what was so you can begin again. He sounds like a guru in the making.

plot twist: the boy was the boyfriend.

Well your ex is clearly a coward. He can't even face you.

How rude of him to say this before you had your coffee.

Try n go yo places you havent visited with him with some friends, try n keep youreself busy.. Hope you re okay! Love hurts

If you're hurt you.He isn't suitable with you

Kids don't have many filters when it comes to touchy subjects like that. Sorry OP

A 14 year old, however, should probably know not to say something so blunt.

You would think, but most of the ones I've been around are at that stage that they are more perceptive of relationship dynamics, but they haven't been kicked in the teeth by life enough yet to have the filter that comes with experience.

It's a fresh wound of breakup. Don't let it get you down, and if you care about that boy as much then don't be afraid to go work things out. Maybe something still left.
