There are Coca-Cola machines in the US that charge between $3-$4 for a bottle. Usually at sporting venues and tourist spots. As outrageous as it sounds, it's not quite unheard of.

All you have to do is call a 1-800 number on the machine and they will reimburse you your money, though I'm not sure all machines have that available. Well best of luck with your 5 bucks :}
