Um no..... first mistake, leaving the kid inside alone. Second mistake, paying them for THEIR kid destroying their house. This is why we have brats... Parents don't discipline their kids anymore.

Lol seriously you guys complaining about all this I find it funny leaving a kid alone for a few minutes is fine as long as you keep dangerous things away from the child and not gone more than ten minutes nothing wrong with getting someone's mail for them. Going through it is a crime getting it for them while under they roof for couple hours not that big of a deal. With that said op next time if possible ask for extra key their will be times when you need them. Just make a system for only using when you get there till when you leave. Honestly people making big deal over nothing. If he a baby then yeah this would be an issue. But he four. When I was that age my babysitter locked me and my bro up in a room till mom got home so that kid lucky. Lol. That something you should try doing too lol. Or just tell him this idea and see if he doesn't change his ways lol. If me and bro given chance we would've lol.
