Today, I spent 3 hours looking at a youtube video for how to do rubik's cube. Even after being told how to do it, I couldn't finish it. I scroll down at the comments and read "Awesome! I'm 10 and can do it in 3 minutes now!". I'm 28 and still couldn't get it, even with a guide. FML

Today, I had to explain to yet another person that I can't tie a knot. Even if someone walks me through the entire process, I never get it. The person in question berated me for not being able to perform such a "simple" task. I truly don't know what I'm doing wrong, and it makes me feel like an idiot. FML

Today, I attempted to assemble a piece of furniture that boasted "easy, step-by-step instructions." Three hours later, surrounded by mismatched screws and a confusing diagram, I realized the only thing "easy" about it was my decision to ask my dad to come round and assemble it for me. FML

Today, I attempted to assemble a piece of furniture that claimed to be "easy to build in minutes." Four hours and multiple arguments later, I realized I had misread the instructions, and half the parts were upside down. I'm pretty sure the furniture won this round. FML

Today, I was teaching a special techniques class for ballet and was focusing on pirouettes. I was teaching a group of 8 year-olds, and one student could do perfect triple turns one after the other. I still can't do them, and I've been dancing for 15 years. FML

Today, my teacher made the class do Origami. As a disabled and very ham-fisted individual, I was the only one who struggled, while everyone else seemed to get it effortlessly. I started getting extremely upset as it just did not work, and the teacher would not understand just how impossible it is for me. FML

Today, as I struggle with dyscalculia, I set up some counters so I could knit up a perfect square. Turns out the counters actually made it worse. I have three failed attempts and I'm stuck on number 4. FML

It doesn't really require a certain LEVEL of mental ability, rather than a certain STYLE. A friend of mine has difficulty doing square and cubed numbers (he is in grade 10), but he can solve a Rubik's cube in one minute and two seconds.

i learned the 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, and 5x5 from a 9 year old kid on youtube. he was quite a good teacher, i mean, hell.. i learned it from him. now... if he'd just do a tutorial on the alexanders star... *sigh* its the last two pieces that always get me on the star. >.0 OP: no worries.. just keep on trying. when id mess up, id mix the entire cube up again and start over. and over. and over. and over. finally, the patterns sunk in. good luck! =]

I'm 13. I learned to do them about 3 weeks ago - at first it was taking me two minute, and I was really slow. After the last 3 weeks I've improved my speed to 42.4 seconds. And I think I can get to maybe 25 seconds after another 2 or 3 months. To summarise, YOU SUCK! AHAHAHAH!
